theautumnsummit
Is there a way to bend the pitch for a repeated synth note using automation? Deadmau5 and other house/electronic artists use it a lot for transitions and I can't figure out how to do it. Thanks!
David Nahmani
If your synth supports pitch bend you can use MIDI CC automation: In the Piano Roll, click the button at the bottom left, which opens the Hyper Draw area. At the top left of the Hyper Draw area you'll find a square button with a triangle in it, click it to pop up the Hyper Draw menu. Choose "Pitch Bend". Click the Hyper Draw area to insert nodes. fader8
Just hit record and move the pitch wheel on your controller. You can edit it afterwards too. It's not part of the host automation, it's just a regular MIDI controller.
