jasonwagner
So I have a d/a channel going to an analog compressor, that is coming back on a a/d channel to utilize the I/O utility plug in. It's working, I see the signal hitting the compressor, I hear the adjustments I make to the compressor in Logic. But when I solo the track, it stops sending the I/O signal. The ping works and adjusts the samples in the I/O window. Something else that is weird, when not soloed and I am hearing the track, the meter for that channel strip in logic doesn't always show a read out and will randomly start showing the signal on the logic meter. Any idea why this is happening?
David Nahmani
When soloing the channel strip, you're automatically muting all other channel strips, including the output channel strip used by the I/O plug-in. Workaround: in the Mixer, click "All" to see all your channel strips. Find the output channel strip used by the I/O plug-in, and control-click its solo button to solo-safe it (meaning that channel strip will never automatically get muted, no matter which other channel strip is solo'ed).
