clintoncole
By me of course! Let me know what you think, it's not 100% done but I want feedback. http://soundcloud.com/clintoncole/goodgirltomorrow
David Nahmani
You're definitely improving. I still have some issues with the singer's pitch, but the overall track is the best I've heard from you. I wouldn't say you're there yet, but I would say you're getting there mighty fast. Keep at it! I ran it through melodyne,,, doesn't it have to be on pitch that way? Any suggestions to bring me up a few levels ? <3 I'm moving to LA as soon as I can to learn from the best down there. capt7
sounds good I especially like the little synth part at 1;18...as a fan of synth bass lines I would love to hear one alittle more prominent...but like i said thats just my taste..also it seems like the vocals are loud , kinda really over shadowing the music..but I’m no professional just giving my opinion...i think the song is rather catchy KUDOS
camillo jr
Yeah, the voice is kinda loud, particularly at the top. I don't actually mind the pitchyness, reminds me a bit of Grace Slick. But if you want to rope that in some more, maybe work the pitch drift parameter in Melodyne. It's one thing to get the overall note in tune but if if it starts sharp or ends sharp, then the PD setting will help a lot. Depending on the vocalist, I'll start with 60% and go up from there. Compositionaly, the tune feels a little bare. And given the attitude of the lyrics, maybe something a bit more dance-like after the vocal kicks in might be appropriate? I like when the bass comes in but for my taste, you could have left it in from that point on. Maybe even started it a whole phrase sooner. Just my opinion! fader8
Hey clinton, you are improving! I'll agree with much of what's already been said, but I'll add that I think the tune needs a second verse and a bit more structuring, compositionally. Not sure why you're classifying this as "hip hop".
