David Nahmani
i get distortion on my bassline and kick when they play togheter There's no distortion if you solo the bass? No distortion if you solo the kick? Only distortion when you solo both of them?

Let's say distortion happens at six. Your bass line equals three and your kick equals three. Individually, three does not equal six, so there is no distortion. Combined, three and three does equal six and so it equals distortion. Are you hearing distortion, seeing distortion, or both?
nieddu8000
i am just hearing distortion, in the channel meter if far from the magic zero point, that's why i am a bit confused.

How much low end to you have? Is the distorted sound because of Logic or your speakers being driven with too much bass?

nieddu8000
all right, the situation is a bit weird... at the moment i fixed my problem with a different timbre choise. but i notice this weirdness in logic in other situation, for example using the same timbre of kick drum in another project: if i turn too much the volume of the kickdrum i get distortion (distortion that doesn't get picked up by any meters!) but i can get alot more volume without any audible distortion by making a double of the channel... how weired? not sure what's causing this though... nieddu8000
sorry you are not invisible, it didn't distort the bass on his own or the kick unless i turned up the volume of either or played them togheter...
