JetLab
I just took a couple of hours to load Spectrasonics Trilian and now it will not instantiate in Logic. It doesn't show up when I try though I still see me Omnisphere there. Hmmmmmm........any ideas? Is this a Spectrasonics tech support question? Jordi Torres
Does it appear in the Audio Units Manager in Logic? J.
JetLab
Negative. The Spectrasonics Omnisphere does and I see Trilian in the Spectrasonics audio driver called Steam Engine. Do I need to Scan AU's? If so, what s the best way to do this? Hit the "reset and rescan selection" tab in AU Manager?

If it doesn't show up there it means that it hasn't been scanned by the AU Validation Utility, or that the plug-in's .component file is not where it should be (Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components...or its user Library "counterpart" location). The Reset & Rescan button works for plug-ins that have already been detected, but for some reason didn't pass validation. So you select them from the list in the AU Manager and click Reset & Rescan. Sometimes they pass validation in this secon (or third) attempt and all is good to go. I would look for the Trilian.component file to verify it's actually there first. If it is, you could try opening Logic in a different bit mode (32 vs 64). If that doesn't get it detected, you could try moving the audio units cache file to the desktop as this will force all plugs to be rescanned (Users/You/Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache) J. JetLab
Okay, I switched to 32 bit mode and it rescanned and found Trilian. Back to 64 bit it I only see Trilian under 32 bit instruments enven though it works in 64 as well. Ha Ha, that was a good one about seeing myself in Omnisphere I was trying to refer that I could see my instance of Omnishphere but not Trilian, both Spectrasonic products as I'm sure you know. Just trying to provide as much info as I could think of. I see Trilian.component in the Plug-ins Components folder.

JetLab
No worries, it provided a little fodder for some humor.
