edurbrow
Is anyone familiar with the PreSonus FirePod? I'm trying to record stereo guitar and a mono vocal. I have a vocal mic going into an RNP then RNC then into chan 1 of the FirePod. It has an adequate level. For the guitar, I'm using two Shure SM81s in channel 3 & 4. I have the FirePod 48v power on and the mic inputs turned all the way up. The mics are 4 or 5 inches from the soundhole and I still cannot get an adequate level in Logic. I don't think there is any pad switch on the FirePod, at least I can't find one. In Logic I have the inputs of the guitar set to 3 & 4. I started off with the Songwriter template and used an acoustic guitar track. It was mono so I changed it to stereo in the inspector. There are now two interlocking circles right under the meters. However the track itself looks mono!?? There is only one waveform. Shouldn't there be two waveforms if it is a stereo track? TIA

edurbrow
Isn't there a mic/line level switch for these inputs? CCT I don't think there is. I've determined that all the even numbered inputs on the Firepod are quite a bit lower than the even ones. Ultimately, I could get a decent level from the odd inputs, however Logic doesn't allow me to use two odd numbered ones as inputs as they are always in pairs 12 34 56 78. I made two mono tracks and had them going to a buss and then input to a stereo track. Odd that it is just one buss. I would think two busses would be normal, one for each input. It is quite confusing. I have a Motu 828 mk II that doesn't work properly either. One of those days. Sigh. Thanks,
