Veryspeed
So I have this older Mac Pro with Leopard, not even snow, just OS 10.5. I want to move to Lion, but I usually like to do it the following way: - buy a new drive - install the new OS on the new drive - manually move whatever I want from my old system drive to the new one over the course of a few months The question is, how do I buy OS X Lion since I don't have a mac app store? You have to upgrade to snow leopard and then you can digitally download Lion. I hope you aren't doing this because of the 9.1.6 update.
Veryspeed
OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive Cool, but, legally at least, I still have to first install Leopard and then upgrade to snow leopard before I install Lion - correct? If that's the case, maybe I should just install Leopard on the new drive, then purchase the snow leopard upgrade, then purchase Lion from the Mac App Store? Man they sure made it confusing! I hope you aren't doing this because of the 9.1.6 update. There are other reasons, but that's certainly one of them. And why not?
