What about the people who bought the boxed Logic Studio ?

What about all the people that bought the boxed version of Logic Studio ?

 

The fair would be all of us to be able to download and register both Logic Pro 9 and Mainstage 2 with our Apple ID.

 

Personally I had paid many euros for my copy of Logic Studio and I would not like to pay it again…

What do you mean Chris?

 

You can download 9.1.6 for free, from the Apple site (link in the 9.1.6 thread) or from your Software Update.

 

I wonder why you think you would have to pay again - or maybe I'm missing something? I believe the only exception is the new MainStage 2.2 which is a $29 app/upgrade, but you can continue using MainStage 2.1.3 obviously.

Now that Logic is an App Store App I was thinking that it would be fair for all the people that have bought the boxed version to be able to have it in their App Store software list. Personally I find the App store idea very convenient and well organized for apps management.

I was quite lucky - I'd just bought the boxed version during November - so when they released the App Store version I went back to the Store, complained - and they refunded the difference, but left me with the box set I bought, so got the best of both worlds I think!
