sampletank 2.5, plays but does not record MIDI?

Never used sampletank with logic before. Just purchased some drum loops and wanted to give it a try in some songs. It works standalone just fine.

 

Sampletank shows up under AU instruments. I can load any sample, loop, or group of samples, and it sounds and plays fine. But nothing records - no midi events, no audio, no nothing. I arm the track, hit record, and I get a blank midi track (although I can hear what I am playing).

 

I dont have this problem with other 3rd party instruments, just recorded a few bars using Kontakt for example, and all my other plug-ins are behaving.

 

I just upgraded to 9.1.6 and I never used sampletank before, so I am not sure if I missed a configuration step or if this is an incompatibility with some mixture of logic/sampletank/lion (10.7.2). Running logic 32bit by the way, although I get the same behavior when i'm running 64b.

 

Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Sampletank working fine here. 10.7.2 and Logic 9.1.6.

Thanks. I'm just not understanding this. I've watched about a dozen YouTube tutorials since I posted the original note and can't figure out what my issue is. I don't think I'm missing anything, and again all my other plugins are working as expected.

This is now working. Bugs me that I'm not 100% what the fix was. I downgraded to 9.1.5, no fix. Reinstalled sampletank, no fix. Put 9.1.6 back in place, rebooted everything and reset all my audio & midi preferences, and now it is functioning as i would expect it to. I'll stop complaining now.
