playagibson
Hello, I run logic 9 in 64 bit mode and in the last week I lost most of my plugins that ran in the extra 32 bit mode section. The plugins are native and psp. They are still available in the first 32 bit area. Some of the other psp plugins are still available in the 2nd 32 bit mode, but the ones I use the most are no longer there. Help please. Rich. JetLab
Have you tried reverting to 32 bit mode and rescanning AU? Try this and then switch back to 64 bit and the bridge should do the rest. Cheers, Ken

I then closed logic and reopened it in 64 bit and the plugins still did not come up in the extra 32 bit area. The only ones that did were the ones I use least. I'm not sure if this is what you mean by rescanning. Rich.
mmm42
I reverted to 32 bit mode and reopened logic.I then closed logic and reopened it in 64 bit and the plugins still did not come up in the extra 32 bit area. It seems you got the "switch to 32-bit, then back to 64-bit", but you didn't launch the AudioUnit Manager an rescan in 32-bit. It's under the "Logic" menu. Thanks, I just did exactly what you said and the plugins still do not show in the 32 bridge section like they used to. They do show up in the first au 32bit section but not in the au 32 bit bridge section. weird...this just happened about a week ago.
JetLab
Did you try instantiating one in your project? Also, did you open in 32 bit mode and reload your plugs and/or do a AU Rescan?
playagibson
Did you try instantiating one in your project? Also, did you open in 32 bit mode and reload your plugs and/or do a AU Rescan? I did the rescan in 32 bit mode, then I closed it and reopened logic in 64 bit mode. It still doesn't show the plugins in the 32bit au bridge section, only the first 32 bit au section.
n6smith
Try trashing the au plugins cache, reboot your computer and then rescan first in Logic 32bit mode and then again in Logic 64bit mode and see if that fixes it.. The cache can be found in; /Users//Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache

The plugins still don't show up in the extra 32 bit bridge section and they used to 2 weeks ago. Only some psp plugins are there and they're the ones I use least. I'm confused... n6smith
Wait a moment... You said that in Logic 9 64bit they show up in the first 32 bit area but not the second? If that is accurate then this is exactly how it should be! The first area is the 64bit area.... not 32bit.. and they show up there because some of your plugins are 64bit plugins.. and when you run Logic in 64bit mode Logic uses 64bit plugins whenever it can... Only plugins that have not been updated to 64bit show in the second 32bit area... and those versions have to use the 32-64bit bridge in Logic 64bit mode.. JetLab
Just adding to Nigel's post. This is why I asked if you tried to instantiate one of your 32 bit plugs in 64 bit mode. Nigel is correct in his post. You may not see them but they should instantiate. Good catch Nigel. Now let's hope it works
