simon5413
Anyone know why my "deviation" adjustment is set to approximately +7ms and is unchangeable (located under Project Settings/Syncronisation/Audio)... ? I have two machines running logic with almost identical setups, and I'm just noticed this difference as I was comparing settings... Running 9.1.4 32-bit in 10.6.7. David Nahmani
Is the machine showing a deviation connected to any hardware? Audio interface? Which one? Is the audio interface connected to something? What? the more details the better. Read Me Before Posting - Forum Guidelines (#5)
simon5413
I haven't noticed any deviation, but I'm not sure what it would sound like either. I use an RME HDSPe MADI card on the machine in question connected to another (RME MADI) card on a separate machine running Logic. Everything is clocked via word clock. OK so the deviation indicates the deviation between your word clock (digital audio signal) and your sequencer (MIDI). A small deviation is inevitable, so what you're seeing is normal. You can't adjust it because it's a display, not really a setting you're supposed to adjust. It's there to give you feedback on what's going on.
