mybestfriendstew
When I try to play my guitar in Logic Pro 9, there is a ~5 second (not millisecond!) delay between striking the string, and hearing the sound from my computer. What am I doing wrong? I am using Logic Pro 9, and Native Instruments Rig Control 3 as my audio interface. My chain is as follows: Guitar -> Rig Control input 1 -> USB input on my MacBook Pro. I'm running OS X 10.6.8 on a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4 GB of memory. There are no other applications open when I am using Logic Pro. When I use GarageBand or Guitar Rig 5 as a standalone processor, there are no problems; the playback is in realtime with none of the delay (or "latency," if I'm using the term correctly) I experience in Logic. If anyone could help me with this, I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks, Adam
David Nahmani
5 seconds latency is huge. Is it actually 5 seconds or was that a figure of speech? Even 2 seconds would be huge. You could start by checking the obvious: try the low latency mode, and make sure in Logic's audio preferences you use the smallest I/O buffer size you can. Let us know? ObtuseMoose
Do you happen to have a delay plugin on the track with the mix set to 100% wet and no dry? -- Moose
