mrtapir
This maybe a silly question but how do you import an audio track, say in mp3 format? Is it just a case of dragging the track from finder window into the arrange window? Will Logic automatically convert it to AIFF format?
Eriksimon
This maybe a silly question but how do you import an audio track, say in mp3 format? How about just tryin' it? The answer is in the question. Is it just a case of dragging the track from finder window into the arrange window? Will Logic automatically convert it to AIFF format? Yes. Yes. Logic will almost always automatically convert it to AIFF - but not always. If for whatever reason it doesn't, you have to use the Copy/Convert command in the Audio Bins' Local Menu. MP3's created with Logic will not automatically convert when reimported to Logic. Superfluous maybe: it is good practice to not use compressed file formats in Logic; so always convert MP3 or AAC or any compressed audio to uncompressed PCM (=WAV, AIFF, CAF or SDII).
