Scott Jackson
I wondered what the significance of the padlock sign is in the top left hand corner of a region - as in the attached png SMPTE Position is Locked. In the Arrange window select the region and then select Region>Unlock SMPTE Position.
michl
Essential if you work for a movie to lock events at a certain timecode. If you do tempo changes and still want to leave certain events in certain positions.
Jan Steele
If you do tempo changes and still want to leave certain events in certain positions. By "certain positions" do you mean in relation to the time grid or in relation to other regions?
David Nahmani
By "certain positions" do you mean in relation to the time grid or in relation to other regions? In relation to the SMPTE position of those events. Meaning hours, minutes, seconds, and frames.
Eric Cardenas
Just to clarify. You lock the regions to Absoulte time (as David stated consists o hours, minutes, seconds...) instead of the usual Relative time (bars, beats, divisions and ticks.).
