onebiglie Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Hi all, I am having trouble getting logic to recognize my new controlpad. I've used midi instruments before and never had a problem. Here's what I've noticed: If I start a new "Compose" file, and turn MIDI effects on, I hear playback for the instrument. However, I am not able to record--when I try, no data is taken down. Scott Jackson Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Create a new Empty Project and create one Software Instrument track. Open Media>Library and select one of the Drum Kits. Turn on the Control Pad. When you strike a pad do you see MIDI info in the Transport Display where it usually says No In? If yes, then Record Arm the Track. Now do the tracks Volume Meter jump when you hit the pads and do you hear the resulting sounds? If so, press Record and start recording. Let us know how you get along.
