Philipkangdds69
I'm considering buying Logic Pro, b/c it just sounds so sweet. But, my question is it worth it to buy it and run it on a PowerMac G5 1.8 Gb with 3Gb RAM running Leopard? Can anyone give me some advice? From what I understand it takes a lot to run the Vst's in it is my Computer enough?
mmm42
No. for pretty much exactly 2 years PowerPCs are no longer supported.
triplets
A G5 would be frustrating for you. Get a new Mac Mini and you'll be so happy! (If money is an issue)
rhys
Triplets is right man, I had a G5 and as I bought bigger soft synth i.e. Massive and the other NI stuff it started to become a real problem, and it wasn't just logic either, if i wanted to watch something on the net I was starting to notice that a lot of video sites were upgrading to flash 10 and macromedia seemed to have discontinued support also. For me money was the reason I did not buy another Mac Pro so I went for The Macbook pro and I do not regret getting it, plenty of cpu even with multiple instances of Big synths and space designer etc That being said, I could of recorded a band with it no problem, audio was never an issue
