gwin_7
Hi, I am trying to record my automation with my midi controller (M-Audio KeyRig 49.) When I play it back it sounds nothing like how I recorded it. I am trying to automate the pitch in a software synth (Massive) and I have it assigned to my key rig from a micro knob in the synth. I have the automation set to touch and when I play it live it sounds good. Then when I play it back it sounds really off time and bad. Is logic not able to pick up the automation fast enough? What is the issue here. Thanks for your help! -B
David Nahmani
Choose Preferences > Audio > General, and make sure "Sample Accurate Automation" is set to Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-in Parameters.
gwin_7
Thanks so much! Why the heck would that not always be on is my question
David Nahmani
Because it's a bit harder on the CPU so you have the option of disabling it if you'd rather use the CPU for something else.
gwin_7
Ahhh I see. I cannot get my KeyRig to go back to how it was now. Since I assigned it to massive it will not pitch bend any of my other synths or anything, nor will the modulation wheel do its normal duties. How do I get it back to normal? Thanks -B
lagerfeldt
Choose Preferences > Audio > General, and make sure "Sample Accurate Automation" is set to Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-in Parameters. Activating this parameter makes the plug-in parameters less accurate when you're using the I/O plug-in. As if it doesn't account for the latency introduced. Can anyone confirm this?
