Logic Plugs and Time Machine

Recommended Posts

So I had to format my OS last night due to some serious problems I was having.

Before I did this, I copied the "plug-ins" folder to another drive. I also have Time Machine backups as well.

What is the easiest way to recover my Logic Plugs without recovering the entire drive?

Some plug-ins are more complex than others and may make use of resources that also need to be present in specific locations. For those, the only proper way to install them is to use the installer distributed by the plug-in manufacturer.

For some simpler plug-ins you can just grab the .component files in the plug-ins folder and drag them to your new drive's plug-ins folder. Expect that to work just fine for some plug-ins, not for some others.
