reduce attack sound on electric guitar

Hi All,

I have a chunky distorted rhythm guitar playing heavy chords, to which

I want to tame the initial attack sound.

That is reduce the cutting edge of the initial sound and have it almost glide

smoothly to the body of the note.

Is there a Logic Effect best suited to this task?

thanks,

zachyun

Is it audio or a software instrument?

If it is a Software Instrument you look for the EG or Envelope Generator and adjust the Attack.

If it is audio: is it one file, or is every chord in its' own region? If the latter, you could simply use Fade Ins on the regions, with the Fade tool or with the Fade In parameter in the Inspector..

If it is one file (or at least: if there are more than one "attacks" per region), try Davids' suggestion.
