Perceived Stereo Width

If you're looking to emphasize perceived stereo width is there any difference between doing it by:

i) Splitting and duplicating a mono track and panning far left, and far right, then delaying one side by, say 5-40 ms. (The HAAS effect?)

ii) Using Logic's 'Sample Delay' plug-in.

Would appreciate any debate on this by you sonic muse's.

Thanks!

Thanks David.

I'd also like to ask another (perhaps, pretty dumb question), to which I know you'll be able to help me. Hope you don't mind if I keep it on this thread.

How do I move Aux channel strips around, so I can position them to simplify my workflow? I've been fiddling with it for a while, but it doesn't behave as per the tracks in 'Arrange'

Cheers!

Actually we try to keep separate topics into their own threads, so I moved your question to the following new thread:

Move Channel Strips in the Mixer?
