External Plasma screen for film scoring

You'll need a Canopus: a device that translates video from FireWire to Analog: http://www.grassvalley.com/products/converters. Then in Logic under Settings > Video, you select "External Video Output" and set Video Output to FireWire.

This will not work of you are running Logic in 64bit :-(

You could look at running the TV as a second (or 3rd) display via HDMI or DVI, but you may need a better graphics card, or a second card.

I mean I'm not understanding what you're saying. Here's how I just read your last post:

Yes I've tried different movie files all quicktime and they work fine through the Canopus. I've never tried the Canopus with Logic.

So basically what you've tried worked, and you haven't tried what we're talking about here?

Very confused. :?

sorry for the confusion... i tried all different formats of quicktime files. none was working. Until i tried Dv stream. That worked! so I guess i need to make sure to convert to Dv stream (.dv).

thanx for the help!
