Ultrabeat not finding .sd2 samples

Hi,

New machine, carefully moved my files, preserved file structure as much as I could.

Open a L9 song, choose one of my Ultrabeat instruments, dialog comes up looking for a sample. I navigate to the sample, but it's greyed out. Can't choose it. Pop over to the finder, find the sample, it's an .sd2 file, open it in Soundtrack Pro, do a quick "Save As" .wav, pop back over to Logic, and Ultrabeat sees it.

Questions:

Why??

Any fast way to convert my (pretty old) samples to .wav - without having to invest in a batch conversion program?

Thanks in advance,

John
