transferring Logic to another computer

I am about to do a migration from one Mac Pro to another.

Have you considered moving the HD from on Mac Pro to the other?

You can get your serial number by starting Logic and then: Logic Pro>About Logic Pro

Write down the serial number.

You say you don't have the original box but do you have the discs? If so, it's best to do a clean install.

thanks scott! no unfortunately i don't have the box or the discs at my current location. also, it's actually a macbook pro so i'm not sure moving the hd would be an option.

but can't the system migration just copy everything exactly?
