Hi, I find something quite annoying with Logic Pro, is there a way to record on the same track without create "stacking" tracks?! If I just want to record after something on the same track why it creates those things?! I worked with other soft and it wasnt like that... I can't just record something over something else and drag or cut the new take after?!

Thanks!

Hello ClydePaquin, and welcome to Logic Pro Help.

I'm assuming you're recording MIDI data? If that's correct, then choose Settings > Recording, and under MIDI set overlapping recordings to "Merge with selected Region". Make sure the region on the track is selected before recording a new performance and they will be merged.

Thanks, no sorry I'm talking about recording audio tracks... I'm not having this problem with midi so I suppose that I have the right setting there...

Logic automatically creates a second take when you record over a region. Very useful when you try to get a difficult part.

Once you like a part or take, you can swipe-comp selected parts and flatten the take folder.

Otherwise you have to replace record.
