Free plugins won't show up in inserts list [SOLVED]

Hi,

I've just downloaded a free plugin (Elysia Niveau Filter) but it won't show up in the list.

When I check Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST and /Components it's there.

When I check AU Manager it's also there (succesfully validated).

I tried it with several I/O inserts (stereo) but the plugin won't show up in the fx inserts list.

I had the same problem with the free Synth1 plugin and something else but can't remember anymore which one (it didn't work so I deleted them).

Allthough I want to try installing the Synth1 plugin again.

The strange thing is ... the Camel Audio CamelCrusher (also free) does work.

So what could be the problem? Is it maybe hide or something? :?:

Cheers!

Logic does not support VST plug-ins. Only Audio Units.

If the plug-in is listed as "successfully validated" in the Audio Units manager, it should be available. I have that plug-in installed and it shows up in my inserts.

now that you mention it

Could be a thing with Lion.

As long as it shows in the Components folder with all the other plugins, it should be there. No need to look in the VST folder.

Well, I don't know why it isn't there.

I have the Elysia Compressor bundle so the free one should be in that sublist.

But it isn't.

Strange.

Online Activation

(preferred, it´s fast and easy!):

1. Open a FREE account with us here.

2. Choose a plugin to try and download it.

3. Start your DAW host (audio program) and open the new plugin.

4. The plugin window will ask you to enter your email address and password.

5. Click ACTIVATE in the plugin window. Wait 5 seconds. Done.

Plugins, plugins. Can't have enough of them...

Thanks for sharing the solution!

Yeah, summersale at a lot of stores, but some free stuff is also great.

Just found another one at the Audio Damage site (RoughRider). 8)

Yes, you need to activate even the free Plugin Alliance ones. It's not difficult to do, I think you just do it from the plug-in.

Solved! :D

Thanks for the help _O_
