BobSacamano
About ten minutes ago, out of the blue, the playback in logic stopped. Every time I hit play, logic plays 1-5 ticks of audio and then stops. If I move the playhead over an empty region, it seems to work just fine, but as soon as it hits a piece of audio or midi, it stops. I've opened up several projects to see if maybe the project I was working on got corrupted or something, but it's the same story for every project I open. I also switched the sound output to my computer's internal speakers to see if the problem was in the driver for my sound card; same story. Is it possible that I hit a key or something that triggered this or is it a genuine glitch? I'm on Logic Pro 9 on a Mac Mini with a Saffire 6 USB sound card
BobSacamano
Forgot to mention something. The problem seems to be only in the arrange window; if I open a piece of audio in the sample editor, it plays just fine. Still have no idea what's going on
triplets
Any new plugin or update you installed recently? How much space is left on the hard drive?
BobSacamano
Nope, the last plugin I installed was around a month ago, and it's been fine since. My hd has 131 GB left
mattrixx
I have also had this occur on several occasions, but haven't managed to track down the cause. In my case, restarting the Mac and trashing preferences has me working again.
