alonbond
Hi, I'm trying to achieve this glitch sound fx as in 3:55.I'm using Logic and the closet I've come is with SupaTrigga which doesn't sound the best and I can't really work it exactly as I want... any suggestions? thanks a lot! tristancalvaire
What do you mean by glitch sound effect? I've listened to what you linked and I hear nothing 'glitchy'. Do you mean the vinyl-esque stop?
boafzilla
[...] this glitch sound fx [...] Do you mean the vinyl-esque stop? Yes, if you're talking about creating the vinyl stop, try this. 1) Use the fade tool... 2) ... to fade the portion of your audio region you want to do this effect on. 3) In the audio region inspector box (is that the technical name for it?) ... 3b) ... change the "Fade" in "Fade Out" to "Slow Down". 4) Your region's new fade should now be orange And that should be all there is to it. alonbond
thanks that was it! but i'm getting this weird high pitched scratch at the end..? plus is there any setting for the "slow down" thing? thanks
realHansen
If you want it to sound a little more "vinyl-y", try bending the fade-curve up to a little more exponential descend, it will sound more real. As for the high-pitch sound at the end: That's just your audio being slowed down. Try cutting out a different part of your audio region, paste it to the end and vinyl stop that. If it's a fairly short stop, you won't notice too much of a difference, but it might get rid of that high pitch sound.
rhys
It helps to stick a little volume automation in there too and as mentioned use an exponential curve as opposed to linear
David Nahmani
3) In the audio region inspector box (is that the technical name for it?) The correct name is "Region Parameter Box". Instead of doing that you can also Control-click the fade and choose "Slow down":
