cooljuanv
Does anyone know how to get rid of the Record Progress Bar while recording? I usually just move it far left or right, but it would be nice to not see it at all. Thanks in advance.
ski
Can't get rid of it. All you can do is move it off to the side.

blinkofani
Well, i didn't find it. Care to share your trick? Btw, i downloaded the GUI cutomization "kit" for the transport bar but i left the light grey corners at both ends. Even slicker like that, to my taste anyway(there was something that didn't look good if you put the dark corners too). Blink

Jordi Torres
Unfortunately it pops back out when you record again. And where does it end up when it pops back out? Just curious, can't check it myself right now... J.

David Nahmani
And where does it end up when it pops back out? The bottom right of the pop up ends up at the bottom right of the screen - so that the entire pop up is visible.

Eriksimon
The RPB makes no sense to me, as recording is (almost) an open ended process, and the computer is not involved in determining how long it'll last (apart from full disks and maximum file sizes). It only seems to serve the purpose to make extrasupermegaclear that you cannot do any edits while recording...? I really see no other use/sense to it. It may be possible to "hack" that window into something much smaller, or even invisible. If it is a Logic resource, not an OS X one. Edgar? Unfortunately it pops back out when you record again. Wow ! You guys have 20/20 vision, for sure. Thanks. Now, that progress bar is really from the first versions of Logic Audio when we had 250Mb HD and space was limited( and Logic could be installed with two floppies, or was it 2.5 that came on floppies). I remember that you could decide a max. recording time(say 3 minutes), so the progess bar would show a visual representation of the remaining time. Handy at the time. The Logic guys really should make that go away !! Blink
David Nahmani
I agree with you Erik and Blink: this is a relic of the past, when remaining recording time was an issue.
