AMD
Greetings Logic minds. I am hoping someone might be able to recommend a mouse I can use with Logic as my 3-button standard microsoft mouse is becoming a pain in the wrist/fingers etc. Before you ask, yes, I use as many key commands as possible but I still like to use the mouse as well. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Rev. Juda Sleaze
I really like the Magic Mouse with Logic, the 2-way scrolling makes things much quicker for me.

blinkofani
Magic trackpad! Mine is set up for 2 fingers as right click, 3 fingers will select or drag for looping, for marquee tool. You can control the volume slider of the selected track by rotating, pinch for zooming. Very ergonomic also. Blink

YitZ
Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad are an awesome Combo (picked them up refurbished online) I end up using the mouse most of the time but the Pad is great for things like zooming in and out quickly (without holding Option-Control), & working with the mixer (especially the faders!) AMD
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I have a trackpad on my laptop but never found it particularly useful. I need to have another go. Maybe I wasn't using it to it's full potential. I like the look of the magic mouse and the logitech mouse. Certainly some options to investigate there. Thanks again! CarlosUnderground
AMD: Definetly check the trackpad again. It's already there so no need for desk space. I use mine as follows: -1 finger: cursor, left click, right click on bottom right corner -2 fingers: scroll up or down, side to side and pinch to zoom in or out, -3 fingers: grab & move(regions, notes, faders, knobs, anything), loop regions, extend or shorten midi notes, option drag, lasso. -4 fingers: swipe down to view all windows, swipe up to go to desktop, swipe to the side to see & go to all open apps There are also rotate options, but I don't use that gesture in Logic. I've found I can work longer without fatigue, as I don't have to grab or push anything.

Jmando
I switched from the Magic Mouse to the Magic Trackpad when the trackpad came out and haven't looked back. It's a great tool.
ptrickf
Another option is a vertical mouse. I changed a few years ago after having the same pain as you and haven't had it since. Some are pretty expensive but I'm using a cheap one with no problems. Cheers, P.
AMD
A vertical mouse? Not familiar with these. I'll get googling. Always good to compare all the options. Thanks!

Twister
So guys who're using Trackpad - are using it as with mouse or have you completely ditched the mouse? I'm still dependent on the mouse. Trackpad is not the most convenient tool for using, say, knobs in plugins. But stuff like scrolling, zooming and switching between apps is very fluent. I just switched to thee fingers-drag mode and it's not too bad! Works great on moving regions around the arrange area. I don't know why I didn't use this before. route-electrique
I bought it today and re-learning "mousing" or should i say "tracking" today . Yeah, good point about the knobs!. Now if anyone has stumbled upon some nice tip's and tricks for Logic i'd love to hear them!. Edit: This one looks good!. Edit 2: so i was experimenting with this app and set those zoom to fit locators and selection on gestures, as well as two finger swipe down to zoom out to all . Works pretty nicely!. http://www.waveformbakery.com/_img/other/gestures.png

The more you use it, the more 'a-ha' moments you will have. You soon realize that "Once you go track, you'll never go back."
