Logic 9 pro and BFD2

Hi everyone. I'm trying to understand how BFD 2 publishes it's outputs to Logic. In a stereo Aux I've created within Logic, I see seven stereo pairs available for instrument 1 (BFD2 3-4 through BFD2 15-16). That makes some sense to me. However, in the mono Aux I've created there are only 8 available inputs, BFD2 17 through BFD2 24. This seems too few, and they are numbered strangely.

The BFD supplemental manual, which is the only BFD documentation I've yet located which refers to plug-ins and to Logic at all, seems to indicate I need to create objects in the Environment. I'm thinking there has to be a simpler way.

Is anyone using BFD2 and can help me out?

thanks

You're thinking right. That manual dates, it shows by the title of that paragraph "Using BFD in Emagic Logic Audio" (Emagic has been defunct for over 10 years now).

Just create a new software instrument track, insert BFD in the instrument slot, choosing the desired format, then in the Mixer, on the BFD channel strip, click the "+" button below the solo button to create additional output channel strips.
