FastMusic Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 I am running on a Mac Mini OS X, version 10.6.8 and am using a ton of heavy East West plugins for a film score. I am getting the "system overload" message every time I press spacebar. I can barely work. I've tried restarting my computer. All other applications are closed. David Nahmani Posted August 18, 2012 Share Posted August 18, 2012 If you're reaching the limits of your CPU then you need to freeze some CPU-hungry tracks, typically those who use CPU-hungry instruments or processing plug-ins. If you want to pursue this further we need to know the exact text of the alert you're getting, and what the CPU and HD meters in your transport bar look like at the time of the alert.
