Badcatblackcat
I am in the middle of working on two projects and am having the same problem in both. Periodically, recently recorded audio regions on both projects will just go silent. The tracks don't appear to be muted and neither do the regions. Sometimes when I exit Logic, the problem is gone when I restart, but more often I have to reboot my Mac Pro to fix it. Driving me nuts! Would appreciate any thoughts. triplets
Make sure recording delay is set to zero in Logic's preferences.
Badcatblackcat
Just checked and it is set to zero.
Badcatblackcat
Any other thoughts? This is fairly debilitating.
n6smith
Are you using any FX on your Audio tracks? If so, remove them (not just turn off) and see if the problem continues... Other thought is to make sure you are running the latest Apogee Ensemble drivers.. The latest ones were released in July 2012... though in reality that new suite of software is the same as the Feb 2012 but tweaked for installation with Mountain Lion. However, worth checking never the less... given you are running Lion.
Badcatblackcat
Thanks Nigel. Will give that a try. I did recently load the new Ensemble drivers. My MacPro is apparently not upgradeable to Mountain Lion (it's a 2006).
David Nahmani
Also worth checking if the channel strip assigned to one of the "silent" tracks has its "M" button blinking? That would indicate that another track is soloed. If that's the case, option-double-click the channel strip's solo button.
Badcatblackcat
Thanks guys. I did have have a plug-in (AmpliTube Fender) running on the tracks that were misbehaving. I deleted it and reinserted it and it seems to have helped. Appreciate the help.
Eric Cardenas
Thanks for reporting back. I'm marking this as solved.
