Record Stereo Out/Main Output Channel to a track? [SOLVED]

Hello all.

 

I'm going to be doing an audition for a college program, and they require that you include two audition performances (even for the music tech students).

 

Since I'd like DAW-like capabilities for my performance, Mainstage doesn't suit my needs, and I'd like to set up in Logic. Unfortunately I cannot afford Live and am not comfortable with piracy.

 

Would it be possible to record everything that comes out of the stereo output in real time, internally in Logic? With of course input echoing turned off so as to not double the signal.

Set the outputs of all your tracks to a bus. Create a new audio track with its input set to that bus, record-enable it and record your mix on that track.

Alright, thank you! I had thought of this work around but was curious if the actual output could be rerouted in Logic. However, this work around isn't too much trouble so I'll set it up.

You cannot reroute the output in Logic with only Logic, you can do it with software like SoundFlower or Audio Hijack etc...
