jonashansen
hello! im new to logic and mac, i must say its a really great program. i have a problem when i connect my jp 8000 via midi and audio to logic. i can get sounds from it but only from the upper patch not on the lower. Jp 8000 is a multitimbral synth, do somebody (roland users) know how to get sounds from both upper and lower patch? this may be a little confusing but this is the best way i could explain the problem. Atlas007
I assume that you mean that the JP8000 is responding to Logic MIDI playback but only from one patch, probably because the two patches of the JP8000 are set to different MIDI channels? I would then refer you to read the following: http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/index.html#chapter=10%26section=10%26tasks=true

Atlas007
To adjust the MIDI channel in your JP8000, you would have to go in the JP8000 MIDI setup.(read in chapter 7 and 9 of your JP8000 manual)... If you don't have the manual, you could download it from here: ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/JP-8000/01_JP-8000_OM.pdf I realize that the learning curve is steep, but that knowledge acquirement is un-circumventable if you wish to enjoy your gears...
