snorkybingo
Hi all, I'm using Logic 8.0.2 and I have a 13 track project where tracks 1-12 are software instruments and track 13 is audio. When I select any of the tracks 1-8 a vertical white bar shows up in the left hand of ALL the first 8 track headers as if they are grouped together in some way but they are not. When I click any of the tracks 9-12 again there's a vertical white bar on the left of ALL the track headers for tracks 9-12 as if they are grouped together. Track 13, the audio track, has a vertical white bar just on it's own. Could someone please tell me what is the mysterious vertical white bar on the left of the track headers? I've been using this software for quite about 5 years and never noticed this, I've even read the manual!
Eric Cardenas
It is showing which channel strips you are able to control with your controller. What MIDI controller are you using?
snorkybingo
Thanks for the reply, I recently linked up my Yamaha S90 ES to control Logic via mLan (firewire) so that explains it. Can you tell me why it's either 1-8 when I select one of these channels or 9-12 that are highlighted together (vertical white bars) this way? They are still highlighted like this even though the keyboard is switched off. Cheers.
Eric Cardenas
I'm not familiar with the S90 ES but basically it controls 8 channels at a time. Go to Control Surfaces Setup to see the Yamaha Surface.
