How to randomly skip notes in a sequence

Hi all,

So I have a drum sequence I'm trying to keep fresh by randomly skipping notes/triggers. I'm wondering if there's a way to batch process or automate this? The kit is loaded up in the EXS24 and is too big to work with ultrabeat unfortunately (as I suspect ultrabeat probably has some solution for me).

Any suggestions?

Assuming that you are dealing with the MIDI events, I would try the Transform approach.

Try here to get the details:

And here for an example (the fourth one, applied to velocity setting to 0, instead of the pitch for instance could do the trick):

Well, it seems promising but so far all I'm able to do is set velocities to random amounts from 0 to 127. I guess I should clarify what I'm hoping to do:

I'd like to randomly set certain events to 0 while maintaining all other events at their current velocity. Basically, have a random number of notes set to 0 while leaving the rest untouched.
