iPad Synthesizers [SOLVED]

Hi,

 

So I'm starting to get serious about iPad synthesisers and their ability to be hooked up to Logic. This might sound like a dumb question, but is there a 'proper' way of hooking up the iPad's audio output into Logic? At the moment I simply have a mini-jack lead coming out of the headphone socket. Also, what's the inside information in respect of MIDI control, where Logic is controlling the iPad?

Yes, the proper way is to connect the headphone output from the iPad into a DI box then into a line input on your audio interface. Or straight into an instrument input on your audio interface.
