Chord Memorizer problem

I am having trouble with the chord memorizer within the environment window. I have no trouble assigning the chord memorizer to one instrument. but then when i add another instrument for example another EXS24 the chord memorizer starts playing the chords through that track as well. How do I stop this from happening any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to assign the chord memorizer to a single instrument, you need to:

1) Not have anything at all cabled into the Chord Memorizer.

2) Have the Chord Memorizer cabled directly into the desired software instrument channel strip.

3) Drag and drop the chord memorizer onto a track header in the Arrange area: that track is the one that will play the chords for that instrument.

thanks for your help david. Im still slightly stuck could you give me a step by step on what to do. because when i drag the cable from the chord memorizer to one instrument it still plays on both.

1.what I am doing is making a new instrument in the arrange window

2.going into the environment window adding chord memorizer

3.dragging the cable from chord memorizer to the instrument channel strip and then assigning the chords

4.i then go back to the arrange window and right click on the instrument track and assign chord memorizer

5. I then add a new instrument track which i don't want chord memorizer on but it still keeps playing through it for some reason

You must have some routing wrong - for example maybe you kept a chord memorizer in the Click and Ports layer? You shouldn't have that one any longer. If you want, upload your logic file to this thread so we can look at it.

If you follow my exact steps in a new "empty project" template, you shouldn't get the behavior you're describing.

I cannot reproduce the issue on my machine: if the chord memorizer is selected and I play a C, I can hear a C Maj chord. If track 1 or track 3 are selected and I play a C, I can hear a C, not a chord. A monitor cabled at the output of the chord memorizer shows me that the MIDI signal is not going through the chord memorizer when track 1 or track 3 is selected, so I'm not sure how you could be hearing a chord.

FWIW you have cabled the chord memorizer into the sequencer input: that's redundant, so disconnect that cable.
