problems with bars

hello there,

Im having hard time with finding out what should I do to get bars to correct lenght. Not sure if Im using right termins, but I uploaded a photo to make it clear.

So, I've marked the midi's where I would like that snares should be, but in this case they are offbeat. Down there, the red ones, are snares that matches beat. So something up with bars.

Can you, please, help me out to get it into right way?

Hi epitsenter and welcome to Logic Pro Help.

Could you take a minute of your time and add your Logic version and system info to your signature: Forum Rules - please READ THIS before posting (#5)

You can also attach images directly on this forum. No need to use external hosting. I attached your screen shot to the bottom of your post.

Thanks!

I really don't understand your question. Do you mean that the selected midi events is where you would want the snare. The unelected is where they are right now?

If that is the case you can time stretch the region to fit.

Click and hold on the lower right side of your region. Press the Option key wile holding down and start moving the region boundary to bar line 3. Release.

I think I understand: the current green cycle as you have it in your bar ruler sounds good when it's looping, only it should visually look like 2 bars, so that the notes should look like they're on the upbeat on the grid, like the ones that are selected.

1) In the Arrange area, resize the MIDI region so it's the exact length of your current cycle area.

2) In the bar ruler, resize the cycle area so it's exactly 2 bars long (from 1 1 1 1 to 3 1 1 1).

3) Select the MIDI region and choose Options > Tempo > Adjust Tempo using Region Length and Locators.
