Correcting Key/Pitch in Logic Pro

If you are making a mashup of two different songs, and both are in different keys; how do you determine the key each track is in and how do you change the keys of them so they well be in the same key? I am using Logic Pro.

Are those two distinct audio / MIDI files, projects?

Determine the key by playing notes until you work out the root note and scale of each song (and bare in mind the songs may have key changes).

 

How you change pitch depends on what version of Logic you're using: rules.php

 

It's possible that you can't get them in the same key (though if they're popular songs it's unlikely they wouldn't be in major or natural minor, so you'll probably be ok on that score), or you might have to transpose one so high or low that it wouldn't sound right.
