sguney
Hi guys, This sounds like a simple thing but I'm having trouble to get this as I want it. I don't know the appropriate name for this effecct so I'll try and explain what it sounds like. I've tried to make the effect by just playing a long sustained note with synth and then bounce it and reverse the audio file.I put a little reverb before bouncing and after that I automated the fade... But it doesn't sound good, I don't think its the right way to do it. Can u tell me the right way to get this effect please. Thanks

sguney
You can hear it starting from 1:20, its a transition effect, I think its called the sucking fx ?... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lmu2iCLFjnw
rainstick
if it's the build leading to the guitar-y / lead melody bit it sounds like either a reversed note or a reverse reverb build.
sguney
Yes thats it but how can you do it from scratch ?
rainstick
im guessing you know how to bounce a note to audio and then reverse that - reverse reverb - an easy way is to use the space designer - set it to reverse - set time to desired length (mix generally to 100 wet 0 dry ) then bounce in place and put the audio where you want it (probably leading up to the note)
sguney
Ok that seems pretty easy, thanks. One more thing, is there some kind of compression type for this kind of effect ?
