I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy in the studio! Listening to a lot of Mount Kimbie and James Blake, which I think shows a bit in the first track. Let me know what you all think!

A little story on the first track - I was discussing with my roommate how I tend to get bogged down with projects and just end up mucking them up after I play around with them too much. I'm wondering if the drums bother anyone - I did this all in a day, so the drums are all in one MIDI track panned directly to the center. I also recorded the drums from my monitors using a condensor mic about 5 feet about away. I panned that about 25 degrees to the right to give it some air. Lemme know if you think it works.

The first song is so plinky, you've really got the James Blake thing down, which I've never been a fan of. It's a big peeve of mine to hear percussion progress the way you have done in the first one, any time a friend of mine gets a beat maker I hear the same thing. The second song is ten times better, vocals are a bit lazy and nasally but really captures the mood well. Nice rainy day kind of song. Overall it's not my style so it's hard to really give you good feedback, but my biggest suggestion is to just do your own thing and avoid trying to sound like someone else unless that's the way you naturally sound. And since no one ever comments on the most important aspect of Logic (the end result) in the music showcase, I'm going to go down the list and critique the fruits of our labors. For better or worse. You're more than welcome to comment on my recent post as well. It's now obsolete because I've changed a lot and added way more music, but it's the infant idea.

Not too keen on the first song, but then that's just my musical taste - it is very well executed though. However, the second song is really good. I like the dirty gritty sounding vocals but would have loved it to have gone on a little longer than it did. It seemed to just
