josefahartose
Hi When im lowering volumes of certain notes in the piano roll, they are not going as low as i want them to. Is there a way to adjust the scale of the lowering of volume? At the moment i have an arp that i want some notes much quieter that other notes yet when i bring the velocity right to the bottom in the piano roll it is still far too loud? Any help much appriciated
Eriksimon
Hi When im lowering volumes of certain notes in the piano roll, they are not going as low as i want them to. Is there a way to adjust the scale of the lowering of volume? That depends on the instrument. Most synths and samplers do have a volume control, and also some sort of dynamics setting. In EXS24, they're the double slider right next to the volume control. In my first pic the dynamic range of EXS24 is zero, meaning a note with velocity 1 will sound just as loud as velocity 127. In the 2nd pic the range is 30 dB, meaning velocity 127 will be 30 dB louder than velocity 1. At the moment i have an arp that i want some notes much quieter that other notes yet when i bring the velocity right to the bottom in the piano roll it is still far too loud? That sounds like the dynamics setting on the instrument is too narrow.
josefahartose
thanks for the reply eriksimon i see this dynamic volume function in ESX24 but i am using synths such as es2/es1/Sylenth, I cannot find such functions on these? Is there another way around it?
