DialTonetp
I have logic pro 8 and every track I have ever made has very poor sound quality. The sounds are thin and lack that full complete sound I'm looking for. At first I thought maybe I just need to get familiar with the plugins and equalizing (which I'm not very good at) but one day a friend of mine (who has the same software) brought his entire setup to my house. We both selected the same instruments in our logic and played the same exact sound. When he played his, his sound quality was full and had good audio. When I played mines, it sounded thin and lacked volume and presence. He could not figure out why two of the same exact software programs (logic pro) would give two completely different sounds as far as sound quality. Does anybody know why this is happening, and can this be fixed?
involver
What audio interface and speakers are you using? Was your friend using the same? Did you make sure there were no other plugins being used?
DialTonetp
I have two KRK Rokit 5 monitors, and a duet sound card. Naw he was using two totally different monitors, and I'm not sure what audio interface he was using either.
triplets
Speakers and audio interfaces can make a huge difference. Try to find out what he has. Logic as far as its own sounds go, sounds exactly the same on any computer.

If you're using passive monitors with a power amp, make sure the "+" terminal wire on the amp goes to the "+" terminal on the speakers. If those are correct, check the cables going to the amp. If you're using powered monitors, check the wiring of the cables going to the speakers
triplets
Are you using TRS cables to connect the Rokits to the Duet?
