Blitzkrieg Bob
Hi! Our vocalist has recorded her vocals using GarageBand, but our studio guy uses Logic Pro. Will he be able to open our vocal files? So far, I have only opened them in GarageBand and have had no problems with that. I'm told they need to be WAV or AIFF files and 24 bit - how do I check? All advice welcome! Thanks!
David Nahmani
You should have no problem opening the GarageBand file in Logic: open Logic, choose File > Open and locate the GB file. In case that doesn't work, you can always just control-click the GB file to "show package contents" and locate the actual audio files themselves. Drag and drop them onto your Arrange area in a new Logic project, and open the Bin: it will list the type (WAV or AIFF) and bit depth (16 or 24 bits) of the audio files.
