Option-drag - David Nahmani's book [SOLVED]

Hi all

 

I've started to RTFM and what best place to start than David Nahmani's - Logic Pro 9 Professional audio production

I'm stuck on Pg32 where he says "Option-drag", how do I use this function?

I've read this book up to pg 33 (incl the tip)

 

When I press the Option button on my keyboard and drag the sound to the required bar it says "Stretch" in the help tag as opposed to Copy Regions.

 

Please can you advise what I am doing wrong?

I thought I was gathering good momentum till now!

You must be Option-resizing, meaning you're Option-dragging the right left corner. Just option-drag by first clicking right in the middle of the region.
