BoneyMusic
Hello all, I'm still in the process of learning about aux and bus channels and so on, so sorry if this seems like a silly question. I have a snare on one track, with loads of other things as well including vocals and synth pads. I want the mix of everything to 'dip' as the snare plays, to create a pumping effect. I know how to do this by putting a compressor on a track and side chaining to a bus, but it seems a bit tedious sending the snare to a bus and putting a compressor on every single other track. Is there no way I can simply have one compressor for all of the tracks to dip when the snare plays? Thank you!
Jordi Torres
Set the output of all channels you want to process together to a bus, and put your compressor in the resulting Aux channel. If the snare is on an audio channel, you won't have to send it to a bus in order to have it available as a side chain input in the compressor. J.
