is there any way that logic can tell me what key my song is from the midi piano notes?

 

or if not is it possible to find out the key my song is in?

No, Logic will not tell you what key your song is in.

 

Even humans don't always agree on what key a song is in. In some situations it can be up for debate.

I run a label and we don't need to state the key of any of the tracks. Beatport have an automated system that works out the Key and BPM.

I write all my songs in Locrian; they just happen to stay around the second or seventh.

imho, a critical step in one's personal development as a musician, song writer, producer etc... necessarily involves, (among other things related to music theory, circle of fifths, etc.), learning how to 'divine' what key you are in... And though there is certainly an array of songs available that contain changes in key center and modulations (steps up or down in key), the vast majority of popular music does not and is pretty easy to find simply by humming 'do', 're', 'mi' and identifying which note 'do' sits on...

 

Now certainly, the key can also be rendered in it's relative minor- (key of A minor, instead of C major, for instance), but that's a totally different discussion.

You don't need to know the key of your song to release it, but it would be a handy tool if there was such a thing. I usually use pitch corrector on something like a bassline to work it out.
