jimmymio
I use a Presonus Faderport with Logic and every time I try to start Logic I get this msg: Device “FaderPort” is assigned to MIDI Port “FaderPort” which is not present..... When this msg appears the Control Surface setup page also opens and there are 2 and sometimes 3 Faderport icons. After hundreds of times it's really getting annoying. Is this just a bug that i have to live with or is there something i can do about it? Thanks, JP
Eriksimon
Have you checked how often the faderport is represented in Audio MIDI Setup?
jimmymio
Funny but i don't see it listed there. When I open that page I only see audio devices.
David Nahmani
the Control Surface setup page also opens and there are 2 and sometimes 3 Faderport icons. Try deleting them, then quit Logic and reopen it?
jimmymio
the Control Surface setup page also opens and there are 2 and sometimes 3 Faderport icons. Try deleting them, then quit Logic and reopen it? Usually I delete one Faderport icon and leave the other one. This time i tried your suggestion and deleted both of them and quit Logic . When i reopened it it went straight to the song file so your suggestions seems to have worked. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks so much David! David Nahmani
You're welcome - but does the Faderport still work as expected?
