NovaAaron
So Im mixing a friends tracks. When I export into Itunes, the volume is a lot lower when listening in Itunes then in Logic. Im running a stereo buss compressor. And Im using the build-audio out. Any Ideas?
David Nahmani
iTunes, with its auto-leveling, EQing, sound enhancing etc... is FAR from being a transparent playback device. Try playing your song from Quicktime instead?
NovaAaron
Ok. So if I place a reference track inside Logic vs. the track I'm mixing, how do I get the reference track to not come through the stereo buss? So its not affected by the compression i'm using on the stereo buss.
triplets
Send your mix to a bus and your reference to another, that way you can solo/mute to compare.
David Nahmani
Or bring back your track in a different Logic project that doesn't have a single plug-in.
